Liquid Zinc Fertilizer: Foliar Spray Dose Per Acre for Cotton, Rice and Wheat
Liquid zinc fertilizers like our Scotch (Zn 10%) are formulated for direct dilution in a spray tank, making them a practical mid-season correction when deficiency symptoms — yellowing, stunted growth, delayed maturity — show up after the window for soil-applied zinc sulphate has already passed.
Exact per-acre dosing depends on your sprayer's water volume, crop growth stage, and the severity of the deficiency, so it's worth checking the product label and, where possible, your local agriculture extension recommendations before mixing a full tank.
Cotton and wheat typically receive one to two foliar sprays during the vegetative to early reproductive stage when zinc demand is highest, while rice growers often time a spray shortly after symptoms of Hudda (zinc deficiency) appear in transplanted paddy.
As with any foliar micronutrient, spraying during cooler parts of the day and avoiding application right before rain improves uptake and reduces product wastage.
