Humic Acid Granular 40% Fertilizer: Benefits, Dosage and Application

June 21, 2026 · Chemicides International

Granular humic acid at 40% concentration, like our Marco Polo (40% humic acid, 7% potassium), is designed to be broadcast and worked into the soil during land preparation, giving it time to break down and start improving soil structure before the crop's root system is established.

At this concentration, a relatively small quantity per acre delivers a meaningful humic acid load to the soil, making it a practical option for growers who prefer a one-time granular application over repeated liquid sprays through the season.

The soil-conditioning benefits build cumulatively — fields treated with granular humic acid every season for several years typically show better water retention, improved aggregate structure, and stronger, more consistent nutrient uptake than untreated fields.

It pairs particularly well with a zinc sulphate or NPK program applied at the same time, since better soil structure and nutrient retention directly improve how effectively those other inputs are used by the crop.
